PEARLCARE MEDICAL STAFFING is looking for an PACU experienced Registered Nurse to work in a Westchester hospital. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Patient PopulationMixed Surgical Patients Kidney transplants Trauma related surgery Ortho repairs Neuro surgery Thoracic No Cardio-Thoracic IE Open heartAdult patients only--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Staff RequirementsCritical Care experience - experience within the last 2yrsStrong assessment skillsAbility to multi-taskHighly organized--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Unit Specs21 Bed spaces twelve ORs21 patient ratioAnesthesia oversees the patient until they write the order for dc from their serviceOptimal staffing is seven RNs on Days and PMs, four RNs NOCShifts are staggered, throughout 24 hour period--------------------------------------------------------------------------------RequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.The physical ability and perceptual acuity, e.g., visual, hearing, etc to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.Demonstrate good interpersonal communication abilities.Min of 1yr acute care experience in the area of ability within the last 3 yrs.Current BLS card and ACLS cardFull command, verbal and written, of the English language.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------ResponsibilitiesUtilize the nursing process to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient care.Performs focused interview to identify specific patients needs.Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patients condition.Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and info from health care members and documents actual andor potential nursing diagnoses.Plans for expected outcomes of care for those patients assigned.Communicates nursing interventions, expected outcomes and the time frames for expected completion to other members of the facility health care system.Functions as a resource to the health care teammates in planning for patients discharge.Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements.Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment.Initiates and evaluates patient andor family education.Documents patients response to nursing and other interventions.Uses clinical judgments in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of and assigned unitfloor including established priorities.Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.At the facility, analyzes, interprets, and incorporates details from other health care members.Dressattire is clean, professional and appropriate for the clinical area assigned.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Job FunctionsEmployee is required to stand, walk, bend, squat continuously.
