PEARLCARE MEDICAL STAFFING is looking for an NICU experienced Registered Nurse to work in a Westchester hospital.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Job Level four NICU Unit13 week contract consisting of three 12-hour shifts per weekDay 7a-7p and night 7p-7a contracts availableResponsible for the direct patient care of complex patients in the NICU unit .Provided special service before and after the surgeries. Maintain and take care of the equipments and devices. Developed and maintained a caring and safe environment for the patients. Worked with the health care team for the provision of development of appropriate care to patient and their families. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Staff RequirementsCritical Care experience - experience within the last 2yrsStrong assessment skillsAbility to multi-taskHighly organized--------------------------------------------------------------------------------RequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.The physical ability and perceptual acuity, e.g., visual, hearing, etc to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.Demonstrate good interpersonal communication abilities.Min of 1 yr acute care experience in the area of ability within the last 3 yrs.Documentation that demonstrates certification in the area of ability NICU or its equivalent.Current BLS card and ACLS cardFull command, verbal and written, of the English language.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------ResponsibilitiesUtilize the nursing process to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient care.Performs focused interview to identify specific patients needs.Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patients condition.Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and details from health care members and documents actual andor potential nursing diagnoses.Plans for expected outcomes of care for those patients assigned.Communicates nursing interventions, expected outcomes and the time frames for expected completion to other members of the facility health care system.Functions as a resource to the health care teammates in planning for patients discharge.Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements.Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment.Initiates and evaluates patient andor family education.Documents patients response to nursing and other interventions.Uses clinical judgments in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of and assigned unitfloor including established priorities.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Job FunctionsEmployee is required to stand, walk, bend, squat continuously.
