PEARLCARE MEDICAL STAFFING is looking for an Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse to work in a Westchester hospital.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Job 13 week contract consisting of three 12-hour shifts per weekDay 7a-7p and night 7p-7a contracts availableStrong Registered Nurse needed that can function independent ally immediatly, and also be a resource for the new MDs.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Staff RequirementsDiagnostic Cardiac Catharization procedures Angioplasty PCIKnowledge of equipment needed for each of the proceduresProficient at reading EKG tracing as well as hemodynamic monitoring.IABP, temporary wires, and percutaneous VADS, Aniojet and thrombectomy procedures.IIbIIIa initiation and administrationThis facility presently documents EMR in Horizon Cardiology which is a McKesson system. The procedure note is created by the monitor tech while the RN documents all IV medications given during the procedure. Staff would need to be trained and have access to Pyxis and be trained for documentation of Universal Protocol.This facility bills electronically through the system but this can be accomplished by the tech.Strong assessment skillsAbility to multi-taskHighly organized--------------------------------------------------------------------------------RequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.The physical ability and perceptual acuity, e.g., visual, hearing, etc to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.Demonstrate good interpersonal communication expertise.Min of 1yr acute care background in the area of ability within the last 3 years.Documentation that demonstrates certification in the area of ability NICU or its equivalent.Current BLS card and ACLS cardFull command, verbal and written, of the English language.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------ResponsibilitiesUtilize the nursing process to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient care.Performs focused interview to identify specific patients needs.Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patients condition.Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and info from health care members and documents actual andor potential nursing diagnoses.Plans for expected outcomes of care for those patients assigned.Communicates nursing interventions, expected outcomes and the time frames for expected completion to other members of the facility health care system.Functions as a resource to the health care teammates in planning for patients discharge.Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements.Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment.Initiates and evaluates patient andor family education.Documents patients response to nursing and other interventions.Uses clinical judgments in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of and assigned unitfloor including established priorities.Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.At the facility, analyzes, interprets, and incorporates info from other health care members.Dressattire is clean, professional and appropriate for the clinical area assigned.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Job FunctionsEmployee is required to stand, walk, bend, squat continuously.
